A FRESH START IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL  LIFE: FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL 

First day of school is filled with mixed of emotions for every student, like feeling excited, nervous, anxious for another new beginning of student life, and some are sad since the school break is over. Every first day of school every class requires us to introduce ourselves, since new school year new teachers to meet. In this blog I will take you through ups and downs of what will happen, and how this new school year will starts.

The day before: A Preparation

The day before the first day of school was a mixed of emotions, feeling excited in meeting my classmates again, feeling nervous of how I am going to introduce myself in front of my classmates and new teacher, feeling sad because our parents have leave us again in our boarding houses. But before they left they took us with them to buy the our needs and other school supplies in the market, after buying some stuff they went home and left us in our boarding house. To start our week with the guidance of GOD me and my cousin go to  church, after the mass we went home and take our dinner and go to sleep.

THE DAY

Day one the adventure begins, First day is not quite a rush since our class starts at noon. As I wake up, I immediately  fix the bed and make some breakfast, after eating I took a bath. after taking a bath I prepared my school bag and check if I missed something, after that I moved on Ironing my uniforms since i don't like wearing crumpled uniform to school. after an hour passed i already eat lunch, brush my teeth, freshen up, and go to school.  At exactly 12:00 I arrived at our classroom.

First Class: 

First day of School

 As I enter our classroom the class hasn't start yet, my classmates are chatting with each other. I find a sit and chat with my sit mate since it's not yet time and others are still arriving. At 12:30 our adviser Mr. Samson G. Capinig, which is also our subject teacher in HUMMS 1, he stands up in front of class and greeted us which we also greet back, first thing we did was a prayer, then our teacher oriented us about our class and about the subject, he didn't let us introduce ourselves since his one of our subject teacher the last school year, instead he told us to do an election this year's class officers. after that our teacher gave the remaining time for us to wait the for our next class which is PR2.

Second Class:

During the second subject we have walk from our classroom  which is in third floor to first floor, when we arrived first floor we waited at wrong classroom, but eventually we find the the room that assigned for us cause we noticed the classroom we waited is already occupied. When we found the right classroom we immediately enter for us not to be late. As everyone of us found our own sits, and the teacher noticed that we're already settled he stood up and gave a strong or terror impression toward us, because after stating his name hi asked number to one of  my classmate and started counting one to five cause the number my classmate gave was 5, then he asked a question to my classmate but he couldn't answer it, the class is already scared, but after that he take back his strong impression when he started making us laugh and told us to introduce ourselves through stating out Name, Nickname, and address. Every student is already introducing their self's, when it's already my turn I stood up and greeted everyone and said " I am Juliene Jhynn H. Honrado, you can call me Juliene, and I live in Poblacion, Placer, Masbate. After the introduction of everybody he told us the school norms, he also told us that he can't start the class yet since our elective is not yet finalize, after that he already gave us permission to leave the classroom. After PR2 I already go home, supposedly our last subject is elective, since our elective subject is not yet final, I just go home cause I already feel drained.

I got home maybe quarter to six during that time I took some rest and after few hours my cousin got home we ate dinner together then, she washed the dishes since I'm the one who prepared our meal, after doing our assigned chores I washed up and go to bed. And that's how my first day of school went..

DAY 2

The second day is a bit of the same feeling and emotions in first day but lessen of anxiety as the nervousness started wear off. I woke early since I'm more of a morning person, I started the just like a routine from my first day. I fixed the bed, breakfast, took a bath, prepared my school stuff including school uniform, and check out out schedule and assigned classroom for this day. Same as yesterday I go to school at exactly 12:00..

FIRST CLASS: 

When I arrived at School I directly walk to our class and when I arrived there I noticed it's just few of my classmates where, and I realized it's still early, As minutes past by other students arrived. At 12:30 our first class started. Our teacher in 21st century introduce a prayer and after that each of us were told taught the proper way of saying "thank you" by emphasizing ang first two letters "th" , as our teacher introduce herself she told us to introduce ourselves in a creative way by telling where did our names come from and encase we didn't know the story behind it, we can instead use adjective starts with the first letter of your name that also describes you. When it's my turn I shared that the first three letters of my name "Juliene" comes from my birth month which is July. After the introduction we are assigned sits according to our last name and that is also our group for the first semester. 

SECOND CLASS:

Next, we had Introduction to Philosophy of the Human Person with Mr. L. Paulo. He's subject was kinda boring but did make some ways to make it a bit lively, he introduced himself and just like other teacher he also showed and tell us the school norms and the grading rubric of this subject. After that he gave us  the remaining time since all of the first day was all about orientation.

THIRD CLASS:

Before the next subject 15 minutes health break is given to us students since the previous subject let us out early we just spent our vacant time waiting by the classroom of our next class while cathing up with my classmates chatting about how our vacations went. As the Third class started it's also an orientation and introduction of teacher and student but in different way. We have to introduce ourselves through stating out name, address, stating a philosophical quotes, and answering the question " if you were an object, what would you be?" we're given 5 minutes to answer that and after that we proceed to  school norms, grading rubric, etc. just like other subject.

AFTER CLASS: 

As the second day of class finished, I immediately walk home and take some rest since I still feel tired, cause the schedule for me is still draining and my body is still in adjustments. That's how my second day went just like the first day but with different subjects..

DAY 3 

The third day brought a new set of challenges and experiences. By now, most of us were becoming more familiar with our schedules and the school's layout, but there was still an air of anticipation as we continued to meet new teachers and tackle different subjects. Just like the past two days I just repeated my routine from waking up to preparing and going to school.

During Wednesdays and Mondays our class from 12:30-2:00 are the same which is with our adviser Mr. Samson Capinig, today we've took the pre test, were taken every subject before starting the lesson this will help the teachers to know which and what should they teach the students. After the Pre-test our very first lesson started. The first lesson we tackled was discussed by our teacher but supposedly this will b reported by my classmates which assigned as G1, but they're not yet ready cause our teacher told us the reporting will be starting next week, but he change his mind and start it so we won't be wasting some time. As he discussed the first lesson he told us to write a Blog every day and pass it every Monday so in total of 5 written blogs every week, also he mentioned that we have to make a short story for kids.

After the first subject we proceed to Practical Research 2 class, but our teacher was a bit late and when he arrived he just take the attendance and told us he's not yet gonna start the class since the elective classes were not yet final. So went to the canteen and to some chit chat with my friends and classmates while waiting for the next subject.

Before 3:45 we already went to our next class which is Personal Development, where it will be our first day in this class. We were told to answer the question " Who am I" , this question made me realize maybe I really don't know myself yet since I have a hard time answering this 3 word question. since this is the last subject for the day I immediately go home..

DAY 4

It's Thursday, today nothing much happen during first subject we only elected the class officers for 21st century subject, clean the classroom, and helped our teacher arranging some stuff of her classroom. after helping her we proceed to the next subject. P.E. 3 will be the next subject our teacher was so fast she introduced herself and immediately grouped into 5 cause we only have 45 minutes for the whole week. After P.E. 3 class we proceed to our last subject, but luckily while waiting for our teacher she announced that their well be no class this day since she'll be attending a meeting. 

DAY 5

Carmen's B-day celebration

Finally last day of class, I had a blast this day since my classmate invited me on her 17th birthday celebration, she treat us to one of the fast food chain here in City, the we went to a karaoke bar for an hour before, cause our class starts at 2:00 this day, after the karaoke went to school.

During our last subject a lot of my classmates were crying, because of the overwhelming activity we did, which is connected to our previous activity " who am I" the back of our papers were passed to every person and you have to write something about that person. after the activity my paper was returned to me and it made me emotional reading the positive comments about me from my classmates which i wasn't expecting.

As the first week of school came to a close, I found myself reflecting on the whirlwind of emotions and experiences. Despite the
challenges of adjusting to a new routine, I realized that this week had been a valuable opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Meeting new teachers, reconnecting with classmates, and diving into new subjects reminded me of the importance of embracing change and staying open to new possibilities. While the week had its ups and downs, it ultimately set the tone for an exciting and promising school year ahead. I look forward to the journey, knowing that each day will bring new lessons and opportunities to learn and grow.
