A FRESH START IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL LIFE: SECOND WEEK OF SCHOOL

Challenges and New Beginnings

First week is over, and the second week begins. As the second week began the usual excitement already settles compared to the previous week. During this week I found myself already adjusting to the new routine we have to habituate since we have the afternoon session. This week brought its own set of ups and downs, challenges and discoveries, shaping the early days of what I realized would be a year full of growth and new experiences.

Day 6: Getting into the Groove.

MONDAY. By the start of the week, the reality already slapped me the school break is really over and we're back to school. The previous excitement has calmed down. Every subjects is already diving deeper to every lessons, and I noticed I was very into learning the new lessons that are taught to us whether it is discussed by our teacher or reported by our classmates. especially to the elective I chose, which is General Chemistry.

During our last subject which is the Gen. Chem., this day was the first time we met with our teacher, so she only introduce the subject to us, but before she started we first elected the class officers and each one of us got a position cause their are only 13 student including me who took that subject because of the humors that it is very difficult. Afterwards the teacher begun introducing the subject and that's when we found out the it is really difficult, even though were only having an introduction it already felt like she's already starting the discussion because she already tell us so much that we have hard time to process it. But since I chose to have that elective I accept and challenged myself to take it and passed that subject whether I like it or not.

 Day 7: Building Connections.

TUESDAY. As the week progress, I started building connections with my classmates and spending more time with them. As I arrived to our 1st class I found our teacher was on leave, so we gathered and waited in one area until the time for the next subject will come, while waiting we took some pictures, And later on we've gone to our Intro to Philo subject.

During second subject the teacher introduced a new routine or rules for the class and started discussing for the subject which the first question is " What is Philosophy" I was having a thought of answering but I hesitated that why it was answered by my classmate, It mean it comes from a Greek words philos (love) and sophia (wisdom) which means "love of wisdom".

Day 8: First Challenges
WEDNESDAY. This day really brought a real challenge that could change my expectation for the whole school year. Today was a devastating day, because we found out that the elective we've taken was dissolved because of the reason there's only few students who take it and the requirement was to reach at least 35 students, that why we have to take different elective but in my case my only choice was Gen. Chem. and Pre-Cal. and now I have no other choice to take the subject I trying to run away from. But the fact that I have no other choice I still think of it as a lesson and another challenge for myself to take. After this day happens I realized that maybe this is the sign I've been waiting for, because before I was asking signs which one should I take, and theirs the answer to it.

Also this was the 1st day of my official elective and the first time I entered the room their already doing a performance activity, even though I came late I still got some points.

Day 9: Exploring New Interests
THURSDAY. This day I got late going to school because of I got stuck in traffic, and when I got inside the classroom I found out that the unique introduction by group should  be presented that day, maybe that why my leader was a bit cold in interacting with me. But I said sorry since I didn't knew about it, and thankfully we presented it properly since they taught me the actions.

Second subject was PE and last subject was Applied Eco. during PE we only took the BMI of each student in our class. and for the last subject was only a discussion and after that I walk home and gt some rest.

Day 10: Reflecting on Progress.
FRIDAY. As week 2 came to an end, I thought some reflection and realization on my progress. Though this week was challenging but at the same time it made tough and help me grow as an individual. I faced difficult time facing different challenges in different subjects, built new friendships, and discover new things about myself.

This weeks realization is that I realized going to school is not only learning and discovering new things and lesson from every subjects the teachers taught us, but at the same time it's about learning and discovering the uniqueness and the capabilities of yourself. Looking forward, I felt myself more motivated to continue pushing myself and overcome challenges during quizzes, recitation and activities. The first two weeks had started a strong foundation, and I was eager to see where the rest of the year would take me.
